Operational Fleet Audit: PEMEX Refinación (Petróleos Mexicanos)

Date: March 12, 2007 Location: Salamanca, Guanajuato, Mexico Subject: Operational fuel consumption test (Touriel Test) of the SUPERTECH® device on heavy-duty logistics vehicles.

Project Background

PEMEX (Petróleos Mexicanos), Mexico's state-owned petroleum company and one of the largest oil producers in the world, conducted this field test through its Refinación division. The objective was to verify the real-world cost-saving potential of the SUPERTECH® optimizer on their industrial transport fleet under standard operating conditions.Every project starts with a brief, a set of guidelines, and a clear direction. Yet, somewhere along the way, a new idea emerges during a late-night brainstorming session, a client shares an offhand comment that reshapes the vision, or a small design experiment turns into the centerpiece of a project. These unexpected moments remind us that creativity isn’t always something you can schedule; it lives in the spaces between structure and chance.

Testing Methodology

The study utilized the "Touriel Test" protocol, comparing two specialized heavy vehicles over a specific route from the Salamanca Conduct Station to the city of Guanajuato.

Vehicle 1: DINA 1997 Dump Truck (6,690 Kg).

Vehicle 2: DINA 1990 Wynche (7,735 Kg).

Protocol: The fleet performed a baseline trip of 136.5 km without the device, followed by a second trip of 146.5 km with the SUPERTECH® device installed.

Metrics: Direct fuel consumption measurement and observation of engine performance under load.

Key Performance Findings

The results of the PEMEX audit were among the most significant recorded in a field environment, demonstrating immediate mechanical and economic benefits.

Fuel Economy: The test registered a massive 24.14% reduction in fuel consumption.

Engine Performance: Drivers and engineers reported an immediate improvement in engine "torque" and responsiveness compared to the initial baseline conditions.

Emission Observation: The report noted a visible decrease in the "smoke cloud" (opacity) emitted from the exhaust during operation.

Technical Conclusion

The management at PEMEX Refinación concluded that the SUPERTECH® device effectively optimizes the fuel state, leading to superior combustion. The combination of a 24% fuel saving and a noticeable reduction in exhaust smoke confirms the device as a powerful tool for large-scale industrial fleets looking to reduce environmental impact and operational overhead.
